Dr. Dan Allen D.D.S.
I am probably not your typical dentist, as dentistry has been in my blood for more than a decade. I have been dedicated to the field of dentistry since I was 15, when I worked as a dental assistant throughout the school year. Dentistry and helping others has always been a passion for me.

What makes our office stand out, is I pride myself on making your child comfortable and can provide dentistry in a caring, fun environment. I use the best technology has to offer including low radiation digital xrays, lasers to fix most teeth which means no pain, no needles and no drills, and have a phenomenal prevention program that enables your child to be virtually cavity free following a few simple steps. My training at both Columbia University and NYU allows me to be the great clinician in a calm caring surrounding. I strive to raise the self-esteem of each child as they enter our practice. |top|

Dr. Marvin Lagstein D.M.D. P.A.
Dr. Marvin Lagstein has been practicing dentistry as the founder of Smile Specialists for over 35 years. He believes strongly in giving his patients the best, and continues to stay educated in the field through continuing to learn the newest technologies available. He offers a variety of services for all ages of patients including: Pediatric Orthodontics- growing children can have their smile corrected having appliances while they sleep, Adolescent Orthodontics- new self-ligating braces- quick, low discomfort and few visits, and Straight Teeth in 6 months for Adults- Dr. Lagstein is one of a few in the country with this new technology.|top|

SUSAN
My name is Susan and I’ve been a Dental Hygienist for 20 years.  I graduated from Bergen Community College in 1987.

I’m married to my wonderful husband John and I have two terrific kids, Jackie and Mikey, and a cute dog named Max.  My hobbies are going to the beach, playing softball, running and watching Interior Decorating shows.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Smile Specialists team and working with all the kids is a dream come true.  My mission is that I create a calm, relaxing secure environment.  When your children are happy, this truly makes me happy. |top|

TARA
My Name is Tara, and I have been working here at Smile Specialists since 1996.  When I started here I was a dental assistant; and over the years, I have assisted in all of the departments in the practice including adult and pediatric restorative, and orthodontics.  I decided to go back to college to become a registered Dental Hygienist, which I did and in 2001 I graduated from Bergen Community College with a degree in Allied Health, in applied Science in Dental Hygiene.  Since graduating I have been specializing in pediatric hygiene, and I love it!  I have been married since 1998 to David, and we have two beautiful children, David Michael and Ava Marie.  When I’m at home I spend all of my time with my family and friends.|top|

Lisette
My name is Lisette, and I have been part of the Smile Specialist family since September 2007.  I am very excited to be part of this team, as this is my second home.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending lots of time with my family and friends.  I have two older sisters, and one older brother, so I am the baby!  Which means I can relate to many of my patients.  I look forward to growing within my Smile Specialist family, so that I can assist and get to know all of our Pediatric patients to the best of my ability.

My role is Chairside Assistant.  I work alongside Dr.  Allen, to make sure your child is taken care of at each visit with the doctor.  I pride myself on creating a calm and comfortable environment so your child is at ease.|top|

Maggie
My name is Maggie, and I have been part of the Smile Specialist family since October 2007.  I am the Hygiene Assistant who assist the Pediatric Hygienists.  I recently graduated from Ramapo High School.  I like to travel, and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my amazing boyfriend, Jon.  I also love to watch sports, especially the Giants and the Yankees!   Working with kids is what I do best, I’ve worked at a Recreational summer camp as a counselor for many years so with that experience I interact very will with children.

My role with Smile Specialist is Hygiene Assistant.  As a hygiene assistant, I am there to make sure you are in and out of the office in a timely manor, I help keep the rooms at the highest level of cleanliness and I am always here to comfort your child.  |top|

Lisa
My name is Lisa, and I have been part of the Smile Specialist team since April 2006!  I am married to a wonderful man named Danny and we have a chocolate lab named Bosco.  He’s very active and keeps us busy.  When not working I enjoy vacationing, playing softball and spending time with my family and friends.

My role with Smile Specialists is Patient Consultant and Marketing Director.  As a Patient Consultant, I value each patient.  I advocate on your behalf so that you can schedule your next appointment at a convenient time, and arrange any financial plan so that we can make dentistry affordable.  When not with patients some of my duties are creating and making sure that other people find out what an awesome practice we have created.|top|

Irene
My name is Irene and I have been working at Smile Specialists as a Financial Manager since May 2006.  I love working with the patients and help make dentistry more affordable for them.  I graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1999 and I wish to continue my further studies in Finance.  I live with my parents and I have an older sister and a younger brother.  I was originally born in India and moved to America when I was 12.  I speak fluent Hindi.  In my spare time I like to travel, read books and spend time with my family and friends.  I love working with an amazing staff.

My role as a Financial Manager is to coordinate your insurance benefits.  I also arrange payment options to suit each patients needs.  I am here to answer any concerns dealing with insurance or your bill. |top|

Angela
My name is Angela, I have been working here at Smile Specialists since September 2002.  I started out as a Dental Assistant, and I am now the Administrative Manager.  I am originally from Rochester Hills Michigan and I attended Michigan State University where I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  I have a beautiful daughter Paige.   In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, boating and  activities with Paige.  My favorite part of working at Smile Specialists is the wonderful staff and spending time with the kids!

My role as Administrative Manager is to oversee the administrative staff
